2017 will be the final season in red and green for Rabbitohs player Aaron Gray who will depart at the end of the season to take up a contract with another NRL club.
Gray has played 80 Club games for the Rabbitohs including 39 first grade games, making his NRL debut in 2015.
“This will be my last year at the Rabbitohs and it’s been an honour to play for this Club and to have the support of all of the wonderful Members,” Gray said.
“I’d like to thank everyone, from coaches to players to the support staff and Souths Juniors, who have helped me play at NRL level for this Club; and to all the Members and fans, your support has been amazing right from under 20s through to first grade.
“I will forever be grateful for the opportunity Souths has given me to represent this great Club and for the trust they placed in me to wear the famous jersey with the respect it deserves.
“I’ll have a fresh start at the new club but I’ll always have the Rabbitohs in my heart.”
On behalf of everyone connected with the Rabbitohs we look forward to seeing Aaron perform in the cardinal and myrtle colours for the remainder of this season and we wish him and his family the best for the rest of his career.
Gray has taken up a two-year contract at the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks.
