South Sydney Rabbitohs women's Head Coach Danny Allende has the utmost confidence in his side's ability ahead of their Grand Final match this Friday at ANZ Stadium.
After losing to Mounties over a week ago, the Red and Green women roared back into form with a strong win over Cabramatta to storm into the Grand Final.
A reassuring win at Leichhardt Oval on Saturday was enough to put the smiles back on the player's and coaching staff's faces, which is exactly what Allende wants to see going into the big one.
Danny Allende"I've been in a few Grand Finals and the main thing we need to be is just happy and enjoy ourselves."
"We've worked hard all year to be here it's about just making sure that we work on the little things and just enjoy the moment because they don't come around too often.
"So I hope they come into training with a smile on their face, excited and hopefully with that right attitude they can get what they deserve."
Improving on last week's performance against Mounties with renewed discipline, which was was particularly important against a Cabramatta outfit that never gave up.
"It was a tough win, the Cabramatta girls didn't stop trying and we didn't expect anything different," said Allende.
"I think we were disciplined in better areas than what we were the week before but we'll certainly keep working on it, working in nicely to where we want to be."
The Grand Final on Friday acts as one part of a massive doubleheader at ANZ Stadium with the Rabbitohs women taking on Mounties and the NRL side taking on the Roosters.
After falling just short to Mounties in their semi-final the Rabbitohs women are fired up and ready to enact revenge on their opponents.
Danny Allende"They're the benchmark now they're already in we're the underdogs."
"They've had the week off so for us we'll be continuing to do what we do and I can see that we're just getting better and better so I'm really confident."
