A week is a long time in Rugby League, and with Rabbitoh Paul Carter feeling the benefits of two weeks on the sideline, the energetic forward is ready to rip in this Friday against Parramatta.
Having served a suspension a week before the NRLs Representative Round, Carter comes into tomorrow night’s clash against the Eels fresh and firing as he looks to make the most of his opportunity in Michael Maguire’s starting line-up.
“I was just saying to a few of the boys that I’m feeling really fresh – the body is feeling good,” said Carter.
“(I had) the suspension against the Tigers obviously and then the week off. I’m feeling really good and can’t wait to play this week.
“It was good to get away and have a bit of a freshen up. The first third of the season is done now and we’re looking forward to this week.”
With a combination of aggression, speed, agility and versatility, Carter has made his presence felt for the men in Red and Green, and will be looking to do the same this Friday against a determined Eels outfit.
“Parramatta have been playing well all year,” said Carter.
“They’ve been one of the form sides of the competition – we’ve just got to focus on ourselves and I know that if we play well we’ll get the result.”
