Rabbitohs hooker, Cameron McInnes, is adamant that his side is solely focused on week to week improvements as the back-end of the season looms.
Despite coming up short in recent weeks, McInnes knows that his side must be looking to continue their development in the latter rounds of the competition, starting with their clash against the Brisbane Broncos on Saturday night.
“With every loss and every game, you just want to improve and get better, so that’s what we’re all thinking about,” said the Rabbitohs rake.
“It’s week by week at the moment because we’ve got ourselves in a situation where we’ve made it hard for ourselves,
“No game’s easy in the NRL. We want to win badly, so we’ll be working hard.”
With the Rabbitohs coming off a bye, McInnes believes that his side will be rejuvenated and raring to go against the strong Brisbane outfit.
“(We’re) feeling good – relaxed and refreshed – so (we’re) looking forward to this week,” said McInnes.
“A break is always nice, no matter when it comes,
“We’re all back here, ready to go and we’re looking forward to playing the Broncos.”
McInnes will be looking to back up his solid Round 17 performance against the Cowboys, which saw the Botany Rams junior complete 37 tackles in a 39 minute effort.
