The South Sydney Rabbitohs have signed back rower Dean Britt for the remainder of the 2017 season.
Britt, 23, had already signed with the Rabbitohs for the 2018 and 2019 seasons which was announced earlier this month, however the Club has been able to secure his services for the rest of this season from the Melbourne Storm.
Britt is a second rower who has been a part of the Storm’s under 20s and full time squads over the past five seasons, and made his NRL debut earlier this month against the North Queensland Cowboys.
Britt represented NSW in under 20s and under 18s Origin series’ and played for the Queensland Residents team in 2017. Dean is the son of former Australian representative player Darren Britt.
Rabbitohs forward Robbie Rochow has been released from the remainder of his playing contract, effective immediately, to join another NRL club.
Rochow has played 82 NRL games to date, including eight first grade games for the Rabbitohs since joining the Club this season.
