South Sydney’s Egan Butcher has been selected as part of a 27-man NSW Under 16s squad that will assemble for a training session at the NSWRL Academy, Narrabeen on Wednesday 18 May.
Butcher’s selection comes in addition to five Souths players being selected in the NSW Under 18s side, with Dylan O’Connor, Cameron Murray, Emre Guler, Campbell Graham and Keaon Koloamatangi all making the squad.
The final 18 players to be selected for the Under 16s NSW team will be announced on Saturday 21 May. They will then play as the curtain-raiser to State of Origin I at ANZ Stadium on June 1.
