Rabbitohs centre, Hymel Hunt, has cited the influence of Head Coach Michael Maguire in boosting his confidence leading into this Sunday’s Round 3 clash against the Dragons at the Sydney Cricket Ground.
Despite having previously played limited first grade for the Gold Coast Titans and the Melbourne Storm, Hunt is feeling more confident in his abilities than ever thanks in part to the help of his Rabbitohs mentor.
“Madge has helped me build my confidence over the pre-season,” said Hunt.
“I’ve taken it into the first two Rounds, and definitely this third Round I’ll be taking my hands to the opportunity.”
Hunt has shown positive signs in both attack and defence during his two Premiership games with the Club so far – a stint that produced a brilliant four-pointer against the Knights last week after he took a plucked a bomb out of the air to score.
The Rabbitohs will take on the St George Illawarra Dragons at the SCG this Sunday. Kick-off is at 4pm. Click here to purchase your tickets!
