Our Souths Junior sides will this week host Illawarra Steelers at Redfern Oval on Saturday 17 February.
Up first on Saturday is the Under 16s, who will be looking continue the good form they showed last week after coming from behind to defeat the Canberra Raiders.
This week they face another strong test in Illawarra who easily accounted for the Western Suburbs Magpies in their round one clash.
Later in the afternoon the Under 18s will be looking to redeem themselves after a heavy defeat at the hands of the Raiders.
It doesn't get any easier for the SG Ball side in Round 2, facing up against a Steelers side who comfortably dealt with the Western Suburbs Magpies. A challenging test no doubt, but the tricky encounter might just be the best way of turning around their first round form.
Following the Under 16s, Souths Under 18s Women will attempt to reproduce the resounding performance from last week, as they strolled past their opposition in Round 1.
This weekend they face a much tougher test in Illawarra, who trounced Parramatta 50-12, but judging by the standard the Women set last week, confidence will be at all time high heading into this showdown.
