Rabbitohs Head Coach, Michael Maguire, has given his insights into this week’s Round 4 clash against the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs on Good Friday at ANZ Stadium.
The Rabbitohs will be looking to bounce back and regather their momentum against the Bulldogs when they return to ANZ Stadium for the traditional Good Friday showdown.
According to Maguire, there is room for improvement ahead of this week’s clash following last week’s two-point loss to the Dragons.
“There are areas from our game last week that we’re looking forward to improving,” said Maguire.
“The standards we set are very high and we need to make sure we are meeting those,
“When you meet those, you get to build pressure within what you are doing.”
Maguire is adamant that the preparation leading into this week’s game will play a significant role in determining the way in which the game is played as well as the result.
“Moving forward, it’s all about today’s training building into Friday’s game,” said Maguire.

“It’s really a preparation to make sure that we’re working hard for each other and enjoying playing with each other.”
In addition to discussing the improvements that need to be made leading into the encounter, Maguire also discussed the excitement that is associated with the Good Friday clash between the two sides, with both Rabbitohs and Bulldogs fans set to turn out in force.
“We’re always spoilt to get a big crowd out at this one,” said Maguire.
“It’s a special game – this one brings a bit of significance with a few people coming across from the show (the Easter Show),
“Our Members really do enjoy getting out there in the afternoon.”
