Rabbitohs Head Coach, Michael Maguire, has given his insights into Round 5 against the Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles at Brookvale Oval.
Maguire and his men will be out to meet the standards they have set internally.
“It’s about going out and meeting those this week. Obviously our forwards need to aim up right in the middle of the park and we need to make sure we’re doing all the little things that we talk about and expect of each other.
“By doing that, you create your own opportunities and that’s what we’re looking for obviously this Thursday.”
The Rabbitohs will be bolstered by the return of both Sam and Thomas Burgess – both of whom will return from injury in Thursday’s clash.

But while their return is considered a boost, Maguire emphasised the need for all players to play their role for the team.
“It is (a boost), but it’s also about the others doing their role as well,” said Maguire.
“The fact that everyone’s got their own role that they need to play and do is something that our boys pride themselves on.”
The Sea Eagles meanwhile have this week been vocal about five-day-turnarounds and player burn-out. However Maguire pointed out that it all comes down to each player playing their game for the full 80 minutes.
“I think no matter what your turn-around is – we face those at some stage,” said Maguire.
“But ultimately at the end of the day, you turn up for the 80 minutes and that’s exactly what each player spends all week to achieve.”
