Robert Jennings was a kid who grew up in western Sydney amongst a family of talented footballers.
Three brothers who would all play at NRL level, and one that would go on to represent his state and country at the senior level.
They all started their journeys at Penrith.
And, now, none of them remain with the Club at the foot of the mountains.
The eldest, most established and accomplished of the three, Michael, ventured away from Penrith to Sydney’s eastern suburbs before trekking back to the west to represent Parramatta.
Older brother George now finds himself training alongside Michael at the Eels, just as he found himself working alongside little brother Robert at the Panthers.
And now Robert, the ‘baby’ of the group who stands 192 centimetres tall (that’s six foot four inches in the old scale) and 106 kilograms, has flown the nest and is heading to the inner city home of the Rabbitohs.
He’s found his way to Redfern, where he joins two other Roberts in Farah and Rochow, in making a new home for themselves, and where he will continue the NRL journey that started back in 2015.
