As week six of preseason training is well underway, Brett Greinke describes the great mood in camp and the positive influence of the new high performance staff.
“The boys have been doing really well, we’ve got some new coaching staff and new Head of Performance who has really changed things around,” explained Greinke.
“We’re looking really good, I’m really confident with how I’ve been going, the mood's great, the boys are loving it, and we’re ripping in.
Greinke spent his time off focusing on his training in Sydney and preparing for preseason but was able to head back home for a week to catch up with family and friends.
“In the offseason I went back home to Brisbane for a week, I also went up for a 21st which was good to see all my mates,” said Greinke.
“Then I pretty much just stayed back here in Sydney, did quite a bit of training prepping for the preseason.”
Last week, Greinke accompanied Souths Cares on the Colgate Oral Health Awareness Tour to the mid north coast inspiring students to live healthy through good oral practices.
“It was really good. We went down to Foster and Tuncurry, I went down there with Connor Tracey and Beau Champion with the Souths Cares program.
“I love working with kids and going to schools so it was really good with Colgate, they did a great job and it got my mind off of footy and allowed me to something else.”
