Back-rower Eloise Vunakece says the ladder leading South Sydney Rabbitohs are still taking things week by week with the finals around the corner.
Playing part in a strong defensive display on Sunday, which saw the Red and Green get back to winning ways, Vunakece says the team are just focusing on getting back to basics.
"It was awesome (the win), it was good to be back on that winning bandwagon again," said Vunakece.
"We sort of lost it a few weeks ago against Newcastle but it's good to be back in the swing of things."
With a full squad back at training for the first time in over a month, Vunakece said there was a reinvigorated feel around the team heading into their match against Cabramatta.
"We had a really good week at training, we kind of fell off a bit with having so many weeks off in a row and missing girls through rep footy.
"We had a really strong training session this week and each day we've been talking about those little things we need to work on and it showed on the field.
"Our communication was better and we were doing all the little one percenters
Next Saturday the Rabbitohs women travel to North Sydney Oval to take on the North Sydney Bears looking to wrap up the minor premiership but Vunakece says the team aren't getting too far ahead of themselves as they prepare for the finals.
"I think we want to take everything one step at a time and take it back to basics," said Vunakece
"We want to show up to training and work on the little things we want to improve on and hopefully next week we can put in an improved performance."
