The South Sydney Rabbitohs have signed back rower Brett Greinke for the remainder of the 2016 season and for the 2017 season today.
Greinke, 22, played in Sunday’s residents representative match for Queensland, has represented his state at under 18s level and will be aiming to make his first grade debut for South Sydney from the back row having been recruited from the Brisbane Broncos.
Rabbitohs Coach Michael Maguire is pleased to be bringing Greinke into the squad.
“We’re always looking to recruit quality players and we have done that in bringing Brett to our Club,” Coach Maguire said.
“His recruitment bolsters our ranks in the forwards which is always a good thing.
“He’s young, hungry for success, and has displayed his willingness to work hard to achieve his goals, so we’re looking forward to having him join our squad and pushing for a spot in our top 17.”
