The South Sydney Rabbitohs are excited to announce the signing of young outside back Corey Allan for the 2019, 2020 and 2021 seasons today.
Allan, 20, is a Logan Brothers junior who has been a mainstay of the Brisbane Broncos' under 20s squad for the past two seasons, graduating to the Queensland Cup competition with the Magpies in 2018.
Allan represented the Junior Kangaroos in 2017, as well as representing Australia at the Commonwealth Championships earlier this year. He has been selected in the Queensland under 20s (2017) and under 18s (2016) and was part of the Queensland Emerging Origin squad earlier this season.
A renowned try scorer with captivating speed, Allan will be pushing for a spot in the Rabbitohs backline in season 2019 according to Head Coach Anthony Seibold.
"Corey is a great, young talent who will join us with a great pedigree," Coach Seibold said.
"He's been part of the Emerging Queensland squads for a number of years and played for the Junior Kangaroos a year young alongside Cameron Murray last season.
"He's stepped up to play against men for Souths Logan this year in the Queensland Cup competition and he's had a really strong start to the season.
"We see him having a future in our NRL back three and the challenge for Corey is to perform at a consistently high level going forward.
"We're really excited to have a young man with his talent joining our squad next season and we wish him the best of luck with the Broncos and Souths Logan for the remainder of 2018."
