Zane Musgrove attended Downing Centre Local Court in Sydney today.
Charges of common assault and common assault domestic violence related against Musgrove were withdrawn by the prosecution. Musgrove pleaded guilty to a charge of intentionally or recklessly destroy/damage property. A conviction was recorded, Musgrove was fined $1,100 and was ordered to pay $500 compensation for the damage. Musgrove is appealing the severity of the penalty, with the appeal set to be heard in November.
The Court's judgement will now be reviewed very closely by the Club to determine whether further sanctions are required. The Rabbitohs are keeping the NRL Integrity Unit informed throughout the ongoing process.
The Rabbitohs have no further comment to make at this time.
