The South Sydney Rabbitohs Harvey Norman Women's Premiership side have come away with a narrow loss after mounting a late comeback against the Cabramatta Two Blues.
With uncertainty hanging over the match before a ball was even kicked, with the venue changing three times, both sides produced a tightly contest game at Mascot Oval.
The Two Blues got on the board early through winger Josephine Lenaz crossing in the seventh minute. Her centre Haneen Zreika then extended the lead just minutes later in a quick-fire reply.
Cabramatta then extended their lead to sixteen as fullback Rikeya Horne scored, but not before Rabbitohs front rower Moniqca Mo'ale crashed over just before the break.
Giving her side hope of a comeback, Mo'ale inspirationally went over again just after the break, putting her season tally to three.
With the match in the balance, both sides continued to battle on in search of sealing victory, though the final third of the match saw no more points laid on, despite a gallant effort from the Red and Green.
