Zane Musgrove had the rare opportunity to play in front of his parents as he took the field for the Rabbitohs Round 11 clash with the Melbourne Storm in Perth on Sunday.
“It was really good,” said Musgrove.
“Rarely do I get to play in front of my family. It was dad’s first time out to watch me play live for the Rabbitohs so it was good.”
Musgrove was back in the first grade side after a week playing for the North Sydney Bears and was proud with the performance from his teammates but explained that the Storm capitalised on some key moments in the game that differentiating the two sides.
“I felt good out there. I thought the boys performed well.
“There were just key moments in the game, we didn’t really take and they took and that was a difference between the two sides last night.”
Despite these missed opportunities, Musgrove is confident the team is improving with all minds now focused on this Friday’s match against the Parramatta Eels.
“We are improving and just focused on next week.”
