The atmosphere around Redfern has been lifted as the Rabbitohs come off their second win in a row with Jason Clark explaining the advantage of a win for team morale.
“Coming off a win like that, it’s always good for the morale around here and the boys are happy,” said Clark
“But the main focus is for Friday night against the Roosters.”
Despite the wins, Clark explains that the focus now shifts to the next game and although calling it a cliché, that the plan is always to take things week by week.
“It’s a week by week, game by game process that you have to go through. You can’t be looking too far ahead and worrying about what score you are going to get at the end of the year, you just worry about winning game by game and go from there.”
The Rabbitohs next challenge will see them face their rivals, the Sydney Roosters, on Friday night with the competitor missing some key players due to Origin.
“It’s always a great battle between the Roosters and us. Obviously they are going to be missing a few of their key players but it’s not going to take anything away from the game and we are expecting a tough game.”
