South Sydney have announced their SG Ball (under 18s) side to take on the Parramatta Eels this Saturday in Week 2 of the Finals at Leichhardt Oval – the winner set to secure a Preliminary Final spot.
The Matt King-coached outfit come into the match having gone down to the Minor Premiership-winning Newcastle Knights last week by 23-22 in golden-point extra-time.
“We’re in the last-chance saloon now, so this week will be all about making sure we fine-tune all the things we’ve been practicing throughout the year and putting in the performance we know we can at Leichhardt,” said King.
“Parramatta are a good team who throw the ball around a lot, so we’ll certainly have to be on our game defensively.”
Rabbitohs Members and supporters are urged to get out to Leichhardt Oval on Saturday to throw their support behind the future stars of the Club as they look to advance to the next stage of the SG Ball competition.
