The Rabbitohs adopted a more enterprising style of football in the second half of 2017, placing an emphasis on offloads and shifts. Here are the Top Five Offloaders of this year.
Culminating in the 42-14 thrashing of the Penrith Panthers in Round 17 followed by a close 14-12 loss to the Roosters in Round 18, the Rabbitohs were broadening their game through second-phase play.
Leading the way was Captain Sam Burgess who's 35 offloads in 21 games topped our list for 2017. Angus Crichton, eight years younger than Burgess, followed suit and grabbed second place.
Damien Cook and Bryson Goodwin were close on Crichton's tail whilst Jason Clark rounded out the list by recording 17 offloads in 15 games.
