5) Sean Garlick
A former policeman, Sean Garlick, debuted for Souths in 1990. After four seasons with the side, he moved to play for the Eastern Suburbs before returning to the Rabbitohs in 1997. He captained the Clubs last season in 1999 before the Club was excluded from the NRL competition. Hanging up his boots in 1999, Garlick returned to the Club again in 2002 as Football Operations Manager.

4) Craig Wing
Wing made his NRL debut in 1998 with Souths. If it wasn't for the Club's exclusion from the competition forcing Wing to look elsewhere he may have gone on to become a huge influence at the Rabbitohs. He returned to the red and green in 2008 playing a further 28 games through to the end of 2009. A versatile player, Wing made the move to Japan and swap to rugby union most recently playing for the Kobelco Steelers.

3) Terry Hermansson
Nicknamed “The Rock”, Hermansson began his Australian rugby league career with Souths in 1993 after playing with English Second Division club, Doncaster, in 1989-90. After two seasons, Hermansson moved to play at another club only to return to Souths for the 1998 season.

2) Tyran Smith
Brother-in-law of Anthony Mundine, Smith represented seven clubs during his career, starting out with Souths in 1993 through until the end of 1996. Now holding the position of Director of Sportsplayer Management, Smith made eight appearances for New Zealand and represented the New Zealand Maori in three matches in the 2000 World Cup.

1) Mark Carroll
Representing the red and green for five seasons, Carroll was consistently one of Souths' best players in the early 1990s. Despite leaving the Club after a season in 1999, Carroll was a dedicated supporter of the Rabbitohs during the reinstatement into the NRL in 2002. He was awarded the Australian Sports Medal in 2000 for his contribution to Australia’s international standing in rugby league.
