Our South Sydney Juniors got off to a decent start to their respective campaigns with two of three teams taking the points against the Canberra Raiders over the weekend.
UNE Harold Mathews Cup
First up, our Under 16s side produced a cracking come from behind display to overcome the Canberra Raiders 28 -22. Coming down from 18-4 down, the Under 16s rallied in the second half to score 24 unanswered points to record a cracking first round win.

Our Under 18s were unfortunately unable to join their young brothers in the winners circle as they were overpowered by the Raiders 48-12. A Peter Mamouzelos double was a shining light on a disappointing Saturday afternoon for the Under 18s.

The performance of the week was produced by our Under 18s Women starlets, who romped to victory 46-10 in the Tarsha Gale competition. Tatum Allchin produced a player of the match performance scoring three tries, while sisters Kobe Dymock, Kiarna Dymock and Zali Dymock all got on the score sheet as the young South Sydney women showed off their premiership credentials.
