The South Sydney Rabbitohs medical and rehabilitation team have provided the following updates on the Club’s injured players.

Winger Alex Johnston suffered a ruptured Achilles in the 16th minute against the Canberra Raiders. Unfortunately, Johnston’s 2024 season has come to an end as he is scheduled for surgery on Thursday, with a recovery period expected between six to nine months. The medical team will provide ongoing support throughout his rehabilitation process.

Shaquai Mitchell returned from a calf injury in round 21 of the Knock On Effect NSW Cup playing 39 minutes against the Canberra Raiders. Shaquai will be looking to make his return to the first-grade team in due time.

Thomas Fletcher sustained a hamstring injury in round 20 against the Roosters. A decision will be made about a further course of action this week.

Fullback Latrell Mitchell's follow-up scan on his foot was positive. He will continue with his conservative management of the injury and will be in a moonboot for the next four weeks.

Winger Tyrone Munro continues his rehabilitation following surgery to repair his broken collarbone and is hopeful of a return to play in the coming weeks.

Halfback Dean Hawkins continues his rehabilitation from a severe quadriceps injury. He has returned to running and is hopeful of returning to play in the coming weeks.

Forward Jai Arrow’s surgery went really well. He’s in good spirits and back around the team. The severity of the surgery means it’s a longer-term rehabilitation so he’ll start work with the physiotherapists this week and progress from there towards his return in the 2025 pre-season.

Prop Junior Tatola had his severe foot injury at the start of the season. The Club tried a conservative approach to his rehabilitation, but it was then decided to have the surgery. He will return in the 2025 pre-season.

Outside back Isaiah Tass had surgery on his ankle and lower limb fracture earlier this year. He’s progressing really well with his rehabilitation, but he won’t be available until the 2025 pre-season.

Centre Campbell Graham continues his rehabilitation following surgery on his sternum and will look to return in the 2025 pre-season.

Second-rower Ben Lovett continues his strengthening program following his knee surgery. He is aiming to return to the field in the 2025 pre-season.

Halfback Lachlan Ilias is also continuing his strengthening program following his leg fractures and will return to full training in 2025 pre-season.
