Judiciary: Gray faces fine following round three against Sharks

Rabbitohs fullback Jye Gray has been charged by the NRL Match Review Committee following an incident in the 57th minute of South Sydney’s Round 3 clash against the Cronulla Sharks on Saturday, March 22, 2025.

Gray was cited for Dangerous Contact - Grade 1 on Sharks centre Siosifa Talakai. As this is his first offence, Gray has received a base fine of $1,000 if he takes an early guilty plea. Should he elect to contest the charge and be found guilty at the judiciary, the fine will increase to $1,500.

The Club has until the designated deadline to decide whether to accept the early plea or challenge the charge at the judiciary.

Update (24 March): Jye Gray has accepted the early guilty plea and will be fined $1,000.
