On this day in 2008, the South Sydney Rabbitohs travelled to Jacksonville, Florida, USA to take on the reigning Super League champions, the Leeds Rhinos.
In what was an amazing event organised by the Rabbitohs, Rhinos and the Jacksonville Axemen; played out in front of 12,500 fans at Hodges Stadium at the University of North Florida; the Rabbitohs would trail the Rhinos 26-nil at the half time break.
Once the teams returned to the field for the second half, it was a completely different story, with the Rabbitohs running in 24 unanswered points to down by just two points to one of the strongest Rugby League teams on the planet.
To watch highlights of the second half of the match; which was broadcast around the world via the internet on Jacksonville Sports Radio 1010XL with a commentary team of Rabbitohs media manager Jeremy Monahan, former Jacksonville Jaguars NFL player Tom McManus with a cameo from Rabbitohs investor Russell Crowe; please press play on the video player.
