This jersey underscores our enduring commitment to the values we share with the Royal Australian Navy, including mateship, high performance, commitment to the team and achieving success.
To be worn in game by the Rabbitohs NRL team in round eight, the 2024 ANZAC Jersey proudly mirrors the Navy's ‘sailor suits’ ceremonial uniform.
The uniform is similar to those worn by Royal Australian Navy (RAN) personnel during the Second World War.
Today customary ‘sailor suits’ are reserved chiefly for ceremonial occasions, however, on those occasions when they are worn, they serve to remind Australians of the longevity of their Navy, its traditions and its consistent contribution to our nation’s maritime and economic security over more than 100 years.
This ANZAC round, the South Sydney Rabbitohs acknowledge the men and women who proudly serve in the Royal Australian Navy.
