14 year old Riley had the experience of a lifetime when his Starlight Wish came true on Saturday at the Rabbitohs game in Gosford.
Riley suffers from Achondroplasia and his one wish was to meet the South Sydney Rabbitohs, have the team sign a jersey, watch a local game in Gosford and have the opportunity to be a ball boy.
When Riley's Starlight Wish came true - it was even bigger and better than expected…From being a VIP guest at training, to doing the coin toss and running onto the field with the team to deliver the match ball… it was a Starlight wish filled with once-in-a-lifetime moments for Riley and his family.
A real highlight for Riley was getting to meet his favourite player, Keaon Koloamatangi, and being gifted his playing boots.
Riley's mum Louise said;
“Thank you so much for making Riley’s wish come true. The Starlight Foundation, Souths Cares and the players went above and beyond. Riley still hasn’t stop talking about it, it is all he has ever dreamt of for years. Thanks again for putting a smile on Riley’s face and making all his dreams come true.”
The Rabbitohs were honoured to have Riley join them for training and the game; he was a true inspiration for the team leading up to their win against the Tigers.
