The Souths Cares team attended the annual Robert Walters Charity Day on Friday to support the company's fundraising efforts and have some fun along the way.

This is the second year Souths Cares and Robert Walters have partnered for the initiative, with all funds raised supporting Souths Cares' community programs.

Alisha Parker-Elrez, Souths Cares CEO

We were overwhelmed by the generosity of the staff at Robert Walters at their annual Charity Day and are proud to be in partnership with a great organisation that is committed to making positive change through supporting Souths Cares.

The event kicked off with a presentation about Souths Cares community impact, followed by a Q&A with Souths Cares staff Rhys Wesser and Daisy Gordon who shared their highlights and challenges during their Rugby League careers as well as the outcomes being achieved in their respective community programs.

Well before the event commenced, two of the Robert Walters team were up in the early hours of the morning taking on a cycling challenge to raise funds; cycling 200km's before making their way to the office to celebrate the achievement.

The Charity Day included a host of engaging and interactive activities to help raise funds, including a chilli eating contest, video game tournaments, mini-golf and staff having the opportunity to nominate a colleague to be ‘pied in the face’ in return for a charitable donation.

Later in the afternoon, the charity auction and raffle were drawn which included some great items donated by the firm’s clients to support the event.

Daniel Connors, Robert Walters Director

Witnessing the unity of our entire team in rallying for this great cause was truly heartwarming. Our collaboration with Souths Cares, spanning various initiatives such as industry visits, workshops and charity day, is always a pleasure. We look forward to seeing what we can accomplish together in the future.

Throughout the day, over $12,000 in funds were raised for Souths Cares, highlighting the generosity of the Robert Walters team. Over $30,000 in donations have been raised by the company since commencing a partnership with Souths Cares in 2023.
